Design and layout is complete and development will soon be underway for a new Street Corner Urban Market in this Central America boomtown in Panama. The store, which has been in the works for a number of years, will be located in Northside Galleries, near the residential development of Paseo del Norte. “We’re very excited to bring the Street Corner experience to a market outside of the United States,” said president and chairman Peter La Colla. “It’s just one aspect of the tremendous growth we are currently experiencing as a company, and we look forward to working closely with all new and existing franchisees, whether abroad or close to home.”
The new store provides a much-needed spot in the community for residents and guests to grab everyday essentials in a relaxed, upscale environment. The store will also feature Street Corner’s new fresh food menu, with scratch-made pizzas, sandwiches baked on fresh, delicious naan – a tradional Indian flatbread – and salads to go. A small dine-in space will also be available.
Paseo del Norte is an urban development surrounded by large green spaces that offers all residents security, ample recreation, and access to convenient upscale retail operations, making it one of the largest growing communities within Panama City. At the heart of it all is Northside Galleries, an open-air plaza that features a supermarket, beauty salon, and restaurants.
