Before entering the private sector, he served in key roles with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of Commerce. These roles honed his expertise in complex operations, regulatory compliance, and the economic forces that drive sustainable business growth.
Transitioning into real estate, Rubal built a strong track record in the Mid-Michigan market, focusing on the acquisition and revitalization of retail properties. As a hands-on entrepreneur, he successfully “fixed and flipped” numerous convenience stores—turning underperforming assets into profitable, high-value locations. This practical, ground-level knowledge gives Rubal a unique advantage when advising franchisees on store design, layout optimization, inventory strategy, and market positioning.
