Oliver spent the last 15 years in sales and marketing in the medical sales industry. His previous positions have included Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, Sales Trainer, Medical Device Product Manager, and now Director of Marketing. Even though Oliver had a successful career in corporate America, becoming a business owner has always been a passion. He moonlighted as a franchise consultant and was familiar with the Street Corner franchise, it’s brand positioning, market potential, and business case. When the opportunity came in his local market to purchase a Street Corner franchise he jumped at the chance to create an additional income stream for him and his family.
Oliver opened a revitalized Street Corner Express in December 2022 to the shoppers and employees at New Jersey’s Rockaway Townsquare Mall. It is the only convenience store in the mall, and the store’s re-opening is vital in revitalizing the shopping center. The store is located in the food court and stocks various everyday grab-and-go convenience items, such as pretzels, bottled water, and ibuprofen. Many of these items can’t be found without leaving the mall.
The first Street Corner store opened in the mall in 2014 and closed during covid. Many former customers of the original location expressed their sincerest gratitude when Oliver re-opened the doors last December. As a minority owner-operator, he looks forward to serving the Rockaway community for years to come.
